Situated approximately 3 hours from Durban, Johannesburg and Bloemfontein, makes the Buffalo Hills Private Game Reserve ideal for family and friend gatherings. Self-catering accommodation is offered in 3 separate cosy chalets. All units are furnished with comfortable beds and feature fully-equipped kitchen and dining rooms.
At 1860m, you are ensured of breathtaking panoramic views and natural biodiversity unique to this Drakensberg World Heritage Area. With game viewing, birding with landscape and wildlife photography, fishing at numerous dams, mountain hiking with rock art viewing, mountain biking and scenic self-drives you are ensured of a wonderful outing.
A large variety of Game such as the African Buffalo, Sable, Roan, Eland, Reedbuck, Zebra, Lechwe, Waterbuck and the Secret Six are seen on the Reserve.

Die plaas waarop die kothuis is, is beeldskoon. Ons het lekker gebly en sal enige tyd weer terug gaan. Dankie vir ‘n lekker naweek.
Die huisie waarin ons gebly het was baie skoon en netjies. Dit is een van die beste selfsorgplekke waar ek al gebly het. Ons het baie lekker gebly en gekuier. Die Buffalo Hills personeel was baie behulpsaam en vriendelik.

We had a fabulous stay. Will definitely recommend to others. Harrismith was about 20 km away from tarred road, there was a Checkers and Spar also restaurants there.
Will definitely recommend to others. Nice place to relax away from the hustle and bustle. We took a 4×4 ride alongside the nature reserve, we saw plenty of buffalos, ostriches, baboons etc.
