Hiking
Within the beautiful shadow of the Kerkenberg Mountain is a walk that combines history, culture and family with the untained splendor of Buffalo Hills Private Game Reserve. The walk starts just past our gorgeous Mountain Lodge and is approximately 2.5km long.
This is an unguided walk going through our stunning picnic cave to our Bushman paintings to enjoy with your family and friends.

Birding
During your stay explore our bird list with over 200 confirmed species of birds that can be seen on the reserve.
Species to look out for such as the Secretary bird, Bearded vulture, Fish Eagle, Ground Woodpecker, and African Snipe to name a few.

Fishing
Enjoy a afternoon’s Large Mouth Bass fishing at one of our many dams on the property. You are also welcome to try your luck at Barbel & Carp fishing at our 47 ha dam.
Game Drives
Enjoy a scenic self-drive, game drive with family and friends through our reserve and spot some of our gorgeous wildlife such as Buffalo, Roan’s, Waterbuck etc.
Please note a 4×4 vehicle is needed to access these routes.
